Math is an important part of a pharmacy technician's job. Measured amounts of medicine must be exact, or they could be dangerous to a patient. "A mistake on the job for me means putting someone's life in jeopardy," says technician Ruth Tucker.

Technicians must be able to use addition and subtraction skills exactly in order to protect their patients.

You are a pharmacy technician working in the IV room of a hospital. It's your job to prepare the medication that doctors prescribe to their patients.
