Real-Life Decision Making

You are leading a group of recovering substance abusers on a group hike through the mountains. The hike is part of a longer treatment program, which also includes a solo hike to a designated spot. But five of them have had enough.

They are angry with you for dragging them through the bush. They want to go back to the base camp from where they started. So they run away. You spot them running down a slope, and yell after them.

"Stop. Come back! You cannot leave the group." Three of them stop and turn around. The other two -- both men -- keep on running. After you and the rest of the group make it back to the camp, you think about the right way to deal with those who ran away.

What do you do?
