You're a carpenter working on a new house. You're just about to start putting down the subflooring when you realize that you don't have enough plywood to do the job. Your boss tells you to drive down to the hardware store to pick up some new supplies.

Before you go, you measure the area that needs to be covered. It measures 50 feet by 64 feet.

When you get to the hardware store, you discover that plywood is sold in sheets that measure 8 feet by 4 feet.

"How many sheets are you going to be needing today?" asks the hardware salesperson as he pulls on his gloves and starts stacking plywood into the back of your truck.

First you've got to figure out the total square footage of the area that needs to be covered.

Then determine how many sheets of plywood you'll need.

You'd better think quickly because the worker wants to stack the plywood and start helping his next customer. And you have a construction site to get back to.
