To become a tennis pro, you should first begin playing junior tennis and continue playing on a college team. A degree in physical education is not required. In fact, business education is recommended. As a tennsis pro, you may be required to manage a pro shop or deal with budgeting and the administration of expenses.

Physical therapy classes are also important so tennis pros can understand possible injuries and how to rehabilitate players.

The two certifying organizations in the U.S. are the United States Professional Tennis Association and the Professional Tennis Registry.
