Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You take images of all the common features on this first mission.

At the beginning of a mission, you would begin looking at the overall surface of the moon and take pictures of common features. "You start globally," says Jeff Klemaszewski. He is a research specialist in planetary geology.

However, you should consider saving a few photos for some of the less common features.

"Mostly look at common features, but you also want to look at some of the uncommon features and the areas in between," says Klemaszewski.

These areas could reveal information that won't be found in the common features. They might hold a key to answering questions about the moon's formation and evolutionary history.
