Real-Life Communication -- Solution

Here's an example of what your AIDS public service announcement might look like:

Sound up: street noises (fades down under dialog)
Young man: "Hey, what's that on your jacket?"
Young woman: "It's my red ribbon for AIDS awareness."
Young man: "Why would you want to wear that?"
Young woman: "I want to show I care, and it shows I support AIDS research."
Young man: "I care, too. Where can I get a red ribbon?"
Young woman: "Look for AIDS Awareness volunteers for the rest of the month, or contact the AIDS Awareness office at 212-AIDS. Your donation is tax deductible."
Young man: "212-AIDS. I think I can remember that."
Young woman: "Good. I like a man with a good memory."
Sound up: more street noises

"I like to think of interviews as just conversations, but they're guided conversations," says independent radio producer Sean Cole. "You have to let the person say what they want to say, but gently nudge them in the direction you want them to go without them getting frustrated."
