Re: Laundry Room Renovations Starting
March 1
I am happy to announce that we will be undertaking
a large project to completely renovate and update the laundry room. The washers
and dryers will be updated with new energy-efficient models. These machines
will be better for the environment. The new dryers will dry your clothes in
less time.
The renovation project involves more than just replacing
the old machines. We want to upgrade the entire laundry facility. We are going
to expand the laundry room by knocking down a wall and expanding into an unused
storage area. This extra space will allow us to add two additional sets of
new machines and a bigger counter for folding laundry.
To finish
the project, all the floors will be replaced with tile. The room will get
a new coat of paint and new lighting fixtures. The project is scheduled to
be completed in one month.
During the month-long renovation process,
there will be limited use of the laundry facilities. We apologize for the
temporary inconvenience. During the first and second weeks of the project,
three washers and three dryers will be available, but only from 5 p.m. to
11 p.m. on weekdays. On weekends the three machines will be available from
11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
There will be only one washer and one dryer available
for use during the third and fourth weeks of the project, during the same
limited hours.
To ease the inconvenience of the limited laundry services,
we have negotiated a deal with Wishy Washy Laundry Services. It's just two
blocks away at 1150 Newton St. Show an ID card with your current address,
and you'll receive a discount on self-service laundry.
All tenants
should be prepared for other temporary inconveniences associated with the
renovation project.
During the first two weeks of March, you can expect
noise from the wall being knocked down and the floors being ripped up. This
demolition will also cause dust and debris.
During the last two weeks
of March, you may smell fumes from paint and floor tile cement. There will
also be noise associated with the installation of lighting fixtures and the
new laundry machines.
Work crews will be on-site weekdays from 9 a.m.
to 5 p.m. Please contact me if you have any concerns or questions about the
renovation.
Sincerely,
Property Manager.
