Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You do the work and bill for $500.

You think to yourself, "My reputation is worth more than $500. True, the client won't know any better, but I will only charge for the hours that I actually work."

You explain to the client that some of the work he requested was a duplicate, so therefore the bill is lower. You struggle to pay your bills and some days you worry a lot about finances.

A few months later, the client returns and offers you a very large contract that will keep you busy for several months. You are very glad that you did the honest thing.

"Honesty always pays in your heart of hearts. You know you have done the right thing," says Pascale Chapuis, a terminologist. "It shows you have integrity."
