Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You give up puppeteering, at least for now.

You get what your friends call a regular job. It's a nice change of pace at first. You can count on a paycheck each month. You don't have to worry about not making enough money each month. Life is predictable.

However, after a few months, you feel something is missing. You aren't using your creative talents. You aren't entertaining people.

Soon, you start to feel miserable. You realize that, for you, performing is worth the uncertainties. Puppeteering once in a while just isn't enough for you. You feel like a dummy for giving up on your dream without a fight.

"It's a sort of rare, specialized talent, and there aren't a lot of jobs for puppeteers at all," says puppeteer Yolanda Yott. "It's kind of unrealistic in a sense, but then again, it can be unrealistic for any dream. So, I think you should always try to go for what will make you happy."
