Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You decide to give her another chance.

You can't stand the thought of having to train someone all over again. Two weeks pass and she seems to be doing fine and showing up on time. You figure you made the right decision.

One day you show up at the store at noon, ready to take over for the day, only to find the store's been closed all morning. Your employee never showed up for work and didn't even call you. Now you've lost an entire morning's business and nothing is ready for the lunch rush.

You have no choice now but to fire her, something you realize you should have done weeks ago.

This is a real-life decision made by Marlene Cox.

"Firing people is really hard to do. For me, it's the last resort."
