Martial Arts Instructor

Money & Outlook

Insider Info

"Martial arts instructors are, for the most part, small business owners," says martial artist Jay Swan. "So the outlook basically depends on your marketability, marketing skills [and] locale."

According to Swan, it's tough to peg an average salary for martial arts instructors. "I know only a few martial arts instructors who make a living from it. Most are part-time instructors or have independent income that helps support their school."

Entry-level salaries for full-time martial arts instructors generally depend on location.

Earnings and employment information from the U.S. Department of Labor is not available for this field at this time.
