Real-Life Decision Making

It's springtime at the zoo. The blossoms are beginning to open on the trees. The grass is growing. And best of all, baby animals are beginning to be born.

In fact, early this morning the camel gave birth to a calf. As the zookeeper, you were excited to see the small animal. But you are not so happy to see its condition. It has been quite some time since it was born, and the calf is still not able to stand up.

If the calf can't stand, how is it going to be able to nurse? You could take the calf away, and begin to bottle-feed it. But this isn't a decision to take lightly. It means that you will be responsible for feeding this animal every few hours over the next several weeks.

Maybe it would be better left with its mother.

What do you do?
