Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You do as the client asks.

Bob Davis reminds us that taxidermy is a business. "The first rule of thumb is that the customer is considered right, and he gets what he wants and pays for. He pays your bills."

If you tell this customer that what she is asking you to do is ridiculous, you would insult her. However, you make sure that the client understands the costs, and have them sign a work order clarifying that.

Art is a personal taste, and so you have to accept that this particular client really wants to have this mouse stuffed. The client has the final word. If you want to continue running a profitable taxidermy business, sometimes you have to do things that you normally would not do.

The client is thrilled with your work -- and now you have some good advertising.
