Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You make the changes the client asks for.

Industrial designer Jennifer Linnane did not choose this solution. It probably would have been easier to just give in -- she would have saved herself time and effort and maybe the client would have been satisfied anyway.

"However, you must always strive for perfectionism to achieve the best solution possible. It is 10 percent innovation and 120 percent perspiration to follow through and make sure your innovation is achieved in the production result. Perseverance, the ability to listen to what others are saying, communication, patience, and the desire to never stop learning are key," she says.

By persisting, she came up with a better solution that left the client more than just satisfied and earned herself a patent for her innovation.
