Real-Life Communication

When you analyze a person's handwriting, you will see negative personality traits. After all, everyone has flaws. But it's important to look at all of the traits together and figure out which traits are the strongest.

It's also important to note that some traits that are generally negative in most people may actually be a positive attribute in another person. "You have to look at the whole picture," says Grace Bly, a graphoanalyst. "You have to look at personality traits in the context of all the other traits."

Communicating these traits is also important. "Communication skills are very important," says Bly. "You have to be able to explain the traits to others, so they understand what you see."

Choose three of the following five negative traits and come up with a new word to describe each trait in a positive light. In addition, give an example of a situation or a profession where that positive trait might be a good or useful quality to have.

  • Stubborn
  • Gullible
  • Proud
  • Bossy
  • Timid
