Real-Life Decision Making

Your new client is a 60-year-old woman. She's arrived for her first session with you. Like every new client, you've had her fill out a health intake form. It is a checklist that covers the person's health history and any problems they have or have had.

After the woman lies down on your table, you notice she has quite severe varicose veins. She never mentioned them on the health intake form.

"Oh, they're not so bad," she says. "I'm sure I'll be fine."

However, you know that deep massage can make varicose veins worse. However, you also don't want to lose your client -- she might just go to a different rolfer.
