Real-Life Math

You are keeping statistics at a basketball game. Using your portable computer and the software program that you prefer, you are recording shots attempted and shots made by both teams.

At the end of the game, you need to check your figures to make sure that the statistics balance. "It always has to equal out," says sports statistician Eric Moore.

As a general rule, for each missed shot there must be a rebound. The formula you use is:

shots attempted - shots made = total rebounds

During the game, players from Team A attempted 10 shots while Team B players attempted 20 shots. Team A made 5 shots and Team B made 10 shots.

How many total rebounds should there be?
