Real-Life Decision Making

Besides loss prevention consulting, you also manage a security company that provides loss prevention officers (LPOs) to retail outlets. Ms. Fontana, the manager of one of your client stores, calls you.

She suspects one of her assistant managers of stealing products. After she describes the evidence to you, you realize it's mostly circumstantial. You're not confident there's enough evidence to prove the employee is guilty.

Ms. Fontana is sure the employee is guilty. She wants you, as an outside consultant, to agree with her so she can fire the employee immediately. You might lose your contract with the store if you disagree.

What do you do?
