Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You do the job as you're expected to.

You figure a paycheck is a paycheck. You are a professional, and you have a job to do. You believe you can work on the project without feeling you are contributing to atomic testing.

Wayne Loucks is a professor of computer engineering. He says computer engineers can face ethical challenges at all stages of their career.

"Engineers can face dilemmas where their employer's goals and aspirations are at odds with the employee's ethics," says Loucks. Most dilemmas are a lot subtler than whether to work on a weapons project, he adds.
