Real-Life Decision Making

After months of struggling, your hypnotherapy business has finally started reaping a profit. You have put years of education and research into helping others.

One of your clients is Clint Radishette, a 53-year-old man who has tried everything to quit smoking. You expect this to be easy, as it's something you've helped with many times before.

After spending some time talking with Radishette, he asks, "So is this really going to work?"

You tell him the truth. "Well, I've dealt with this very same problem before. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. What you have to remember is that I'm a trained professional. I'm going to do everything in my power to enable the hypnosis to take effect. Put your trust in me."

According to hypnotherapist Wayne Perkins, "If you do your job, do it well and show your clients that you are in control and making correct decisions, you may very well see them back."

A couple minutes after beginning, Radishette seems to be getting agitated. You take the intensity down a notch, hoping he will calm down. Instead, Radishette -- who is at this point fully "under" -- starts thrashing in his chair. You've never seen this happen before.

What do you do?
