It's summer and the pest season is in full swing. You have been called out to treat a yard with a cinch bug problem -- a pretty straightforward job.

You're a bit rushed today. So to save time, you want to mix the product ahead of time.

The product you're using is a spray that has to be diluted from its concentrated form. The directions call for 5 parts water to 1 part solution.

You know the area you have to treat is about 1,500 square yards. The usage directions for this treatment call for approximately 5 ounces per square yard of area -- concentrate plus water.

How much solution should you mix? What amounts of concentrated solution and water are required?

You'd better be right about this, because once you're out on the job you can't change the solution! Plus, there are fines as well as dangers associated with using too much of a pesticide.
