Mary is in the middle of giving birth. Between instructing her to breathe and instructing her husband, Peter, to calm down, you are taking Mary's pulse. As her contractions get closer and closer, Peter seems to grow more panicky and has taken to pacing back and forth at the foot of Mary's bed, swearing nervously and running his hands through his hair.
