Real-Life Communication -- Solution

This is what you write:

Proposal:
To design a CD-ROM that will make working out on a treadmill or exercise bike fun.
Explanation:
Every day, millions of people head to their neighborhood gyms to sweat off those excess calories on a cardiovascular machine. And when they do so, they usually stare blankly up at a TV screen or thumb uncomfortably through a magazine. Imagine how much more fun it would be to work out if gym-goers had a host of entertainment choices from the friendly, interactive computer screen in front of them.
Details:
Our product would be a CD-ROM that offers a variety of short programs. Each disk would contain short film or animation clips, a question-and-answer trivia quiz, and various videos of idyllic settings. The CD-ROMs would be operated through a touch-screen system.
Viability:
Touch-screen systems cost about $500 each. Considering that most health club-quality workout machines cost about $2,500, and annual gym memberships cost up to $500, that's a relatively small investment for the club owner looking to get ahead of the competition.
Project length and resource requirement:
It would take between two and three months to develop a prototype CD-ROM that our sales staff could begin to market. A team of designers, programmers, artists and researchers would have to be assembled to make this happen.
Conclusion:
With more and more people working out for good health, this product could put a whole new spin on the daily trip to the gym. Although the investment of resources would be considerable, the rewards could be fantastic.

Whew! Turns out, you just did the hardest thing about being a CD-ROM producer -- clearly and concisely explaining your ideas in plain language.
