You decide that, whether Sandra is at work or not, she is entitled to use information for her own personal use.

Just because she works at the office doesn't mean she shouldn't be able to look after her own interests.

Sandra buys the land in her husband's name. But soon the real estate developer discovers that the land has actually been purchased by Sandra, and that she works for the real estate company to whom he gave confidential information.

His business deal is ruined because Sandra bought the land. He is furious with the company and is considering legal action.

"There are many different ways that a person can be in a conflict of interest at work, and you have to be on the lookout for all of them or it could cause trouble," says Michael McDonald.
